sulla Honey:

Place of origin/Period: Sicily province of Palermo (end of May)

Produced in the province of Palermo from Sulla flowers, i.e. meadow flowers in hayfields, and its scent recalls straw and dry grass. The taste is normally sweet and its colour very light.

Sizes available: 400g - 250 g

Properties: Diuretic and depurative, this honey is indicated in all cases of constipation; it is excellent for cosmetic purposes and beauty cures for acne and skin impurities.

Recipe: Chicken flambé

600 g  chicken breasts
100 g butter
50 g  extra-virgin olive oil
celery, carrot, shallot, bay leaf, brandy 
For the sauce:
100 g Sulla Honey
100 g butter
80 g flour
1 l milk
salt

Boil the chicken breasts with some of the herbs for 15 minutes. Cut the chicken into chunks and brown it in a pan with the oil, butter and the rest of the herbs. Season with salt. Prepare a sauce by browning the flour in the butter, then adding the milk, the honey and bring it to the boil. Pour the sauce over the chicken and flame with brandy to serve.
